Rod Puppetry Playtime 3-4 January 2009

January 3, 2009toJanuary 4, 2009

If you are hoping for puppetry classes for a Christmas present - why not try the Rod Puppet Playtime which will take place in North London on 3rd and 4th January 1.00pm-6pm.  (10 hours- once again Fantastic Value)
For this course we are taking a special type of rod puppet technique from Japan called Otome. This was the only type of puppetry allowed for women to play in Japan. It is a very interesting style first introduced to the UK by ex LSP student Yuki Muramatsu. The puppets are operated by one person, with the head of the puppet attached by string to the head of the puppeteer.  LSP has adapted the style to explore different sizes of puppet, and we also let the blokes have a go too.
We will also be offering experience with puppets that take two or three puppeteers to operate. As with the Marionette Playtime, we shall perform something to share with friends and family at 4.00pm on Sunday 4th.

North London.
Fees £50.00

To book- email to get onto the list and to check availability, then you will be invoiced.  This Course is open to anyone. Places are limited.
